Located on Minoru Boulevard in Richmond, B.C., Bashir's Auto Cosmetics includes a 16,000 square-foot detailing headquarters on Minoru Boulevard in Richmond with a N/S lammscloth wash in a 110-foot tunnel.

Some 150 cars go through the car wash six days a week, and 15 to 20 complete retail detail jobs are rung up each day.

Bashir gives "red carpet" treatment to customer and their cars, he emphasized this concept by putting in a 150-foot red-carpeted corridor alongside the wash tunnel. Quality car-themed artwork on the walls. All the furniture in the building, including the main reception desk, lobby TV stands and office furniture in the building are handmade of mahogany.

Black and white-checkered flag pattern floor reinforce the automotive theme in the 800-square-foot lobby. Some customers prefer to watch employees working on their cars in the adjoining tunnel, other simply relax on the leather sofas in the waiting area.

The only merchandise for sale here is the same automagic car care items used exclusively in the detail shop. That's a convenience for customers who may want to touch up their cars between visits, and Bashir's employees willingly explain customers how to use the products.
